Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 August 2026

This policy explains what personal data Just Believe collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to justbelieve.co.in and to bookings made through it.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: name, email address, and password (stored only in encrypted form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Profile details you choose to add: city, phone number, photograph, biography, social links, skills, languages, rates and portfolio content.
  • Space listings, if you list a space: address, photographs, equipment, availability and pricing.
  • Booking details: the space, date, time and duration you request.
  • Messages you send to a space or to our support team.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, searches run, filters applied, and actions such as starting or completing a booking. We use this to understand what people are looking for and what we are missing.
  • Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, and approximate location derived from it.
  • Precise location, only if you use the "Near me" feature and grant your browser's location permission. We use it to sort results by distance and do not store it.

We never see your full card details.Card and UPI information is entered directly into our payment gateway partner's secure checkout and is processed by them. We receive only a payment reference, the amount, the method type and whether it succeeded.

2. Why we use it

  • To create and operate your account.
  • To take bookings, collect payment, settle Space Partners and issue refunds.
  • To send transactional messages you need — booking requests, confirmations, rejections and refund notices — by email and, where you have opted in, WhatsApp.
  • To show your public profile or listing to other users, where you have created one.
  • To keep the Platform safe: preventing fraud, spam, abuse and attempts to take payment off-platform.
  • To understand and improve the product, including which categories and cities we should open next.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

3. What is public, and what is not

Public: if you create a Creative Passport, your handle, name, photograph, city, roles, skills, rates, portfolio and public profile page are visible to anyone. A space listing is public, including photographs and approximate location.

Not public:your email address, phone number and password are never shown on a public page. A space's exact address and the parties' contact details are shared only once a booking is confirmed and paid, and only with the other party to that booking.

You can remove your public profile at any time by deleting it in your account settings.

4. Legal basis and consent

We process your data because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for (performing our contract with you), to comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting rules, and for our legitimate interests in keeping the Platform safe and improving it. Where we rely on consent — for example, WhatsApp notifications or precise location — you can withdraw it at any time without affecting your ability to use the rest of the Platform.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Platform, and only as much as they need:

  • The other party to your booking: a Space Partner receives your name, contact details and booking details so they can host you. If you are a Space Partner, the guest receives the same about your space.
  • Our payment gateway, to process payments and refunds.
  • Our database and file storage providers, which host your account data and uploaded media.
  • Our email and messaging providers, to deliver booking notifications.
  • Our analytics provider, to understand product usage.
  • Mapping and address-lookup services, to show locations and autocomplete addresses.
  • Professional advisers, and law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to disclose.

Some of these providers operate servers outside India. Where data is transferred abroad, we use providers that offer appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account and profile data: while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return.
  • Booking and payment records: retained as long as required by tax and accounting law, even after an account is closed. We cannot delete these on request.
  • Support messages: up to 3 years, to help resolve repeat issues and disputes.
  • Usage analytics: in aggregated or de-identified form, which is no longer linked to you.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
  • stop sending you non-essential messages; and
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

Write to privacy@justbelieve.co.in. We will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.

8. Security

Access to personal data is restricted by database-level access rules, so users can only read their own records. Data is encrypted in transit. Payment credentials never touch our servers.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law. Please tell us immediately at privacy@justbelieve.co.in if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the Platform is used. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but signing in will not work without the essential ones.

10. Children

The Platform is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
